BRUCE PENINSULA NATIONAL PARK
About a half hour north of Dyer’s Bay is one of Canadas newest national parks, Bruce Peninsula National Park. Rugged but fragile, spectacular views of Georgian Bay from some of the Niagara Escarpments highest cliffs, unique biology, an excellent Visitor Centre, hiking trails, and wilderness camping. Very crowded in summer, so check to see if you will be admitted before driving the whole length of the Bruce Peninsula.
STORY BARN

HIKE THE BRUCE TRAIL
Dyer’s Bay and area is a great place to hike, with some of the most spectacular scenery and geological features found along the length of the Niagara Escarpment. A map of trails in the area can be found in the Dyer’s Bay parking lot at the top of the hill as your enter the hamlet. For portable maps and apps, memberships and other information, visit Bruce Trail Conservancy. Information on the local club whose volunteers build and maintain the Bruce Trail from Wiarton to Tobermory, offer organized hikes and more is found at Peninsula Bruce Trail Club
FRIENDS OF CABOT HEAD
CLOSED FOR THE 2018 SEASON. The Cabot Head Lighthouse and museum are maintained by Friends of Cabot Head a volunteer not-for-profit organization. The lighthouse, museum and nearby Wingfield Basin take you back over a century of activity in the area.
